Annual Reviews (2012–now)
Coordinate production and copyedit content as Production Editor of the Annual Review of Virology and the Annual Review of Earth and Planetary Sciences. Plan and run yearly Editorial Committee meetings for both. Proofread articles for other Annual Reviews journals. Geek out simultaneously on science and grammar.

Free-range science-writing maven. Covered biology, biotech, biomed, and the occasional natural disaster for clients including Nature, Discover Magazine, Technology Review, and CR Magazine.

Seed ScienceBlogs (2007–2008)
ScienceBlogs Intern extraordinaire. Helped wrangle a stable of 65+ lovable, opinionated science bloggers. Did my part to keep things up and running.

Discover Magazine (2007)
Editorial Intern and Mars Rover Savant. Reported on giant insects, toxic toys, and genome transplants. Reviewed books, documentaries, and nefarious remote-controlled flying bats.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2006–2007)
Chased monarch butterflies in Michoacán, Mexico, and monarch biologists in Worcester, Massachusetts. Earned a master’s degree in science writing.

Smith College (2003–2006)
Forced E. coli to evolve according to my whims in Rob Dorit’s microbiology lab. Graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biological sciences and a minor in chemistry.
